Yesterday was quite an exciting day. I saw Florence & the Machine for the second time, which doesn't seem like much, but it doesn't even matter. Both times were just, amazing. There's no way of really explaining the vibe that she gives off when she's up there performing. She's just like a light. She somehow manages to outshine the various choirs and bands that surround her. She steals the show. When she comes on you forget about the supporting act, you forget about everything. The first time I saw her was the July of 2009 and I was enjoying my first evening at my first festival. The sun setting to our left, the sea to our right and Lulworth Castle behind us. It was an amazing evening and the one thing I remember vividly was Florence gazing out over our heads and declaring how beautiful the sunset was that night. There were no more than about 500 people that night, it was absolutely magical. It's quite difficult to explain.

Florence - Camp Bestival 2009
Yesterday too was incredible. Right within the grounds of Somerset house. The stage was set up right in the centre of the building. It was all so magical. Standing within the grounds of Somerset house at 8.30 at night was enough of a privilege but then to be able to watch my favourite band perform on that stage was even more amazing. Being only a few rows from the front made it even better. The bass line continuously rattling our insides. Everything just flowed. She, again, had an amazing stage presence like absolutely no-one I have ever seen. Wearing a floor length, vintage, white dress and a veil covering her head she looked incredible.
Picture to come
Despite a slight change in hair colour and it being a slightly bigger audience I will never forget last night - it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. It all seems to work and I can't actually express the emotion I feel towards this woman. A feeling of genuine love.
